“If religious books are not widely circulated among the people in this country, I do not know what is going to become of us as a nation.  If truth be not diffused, error will be; if God and His Word are not known and received, the devil and his works will gain the ascendancy; if the evangelical volume does not reach every hamlet, the pages of a corrupt and licentious literature will; if the power of the Gospel is not felt throughout the length and breadth of the land; anarchy and misrule, degradation and misery, corruption and darkness, will reign without mitigation or end.”

The Banner of Truth Trust

http://www.banneroftruth.org

The Story of The Banner of Truth:
The Banner of Truth Trust originated in 1957 in London. The founders believed that much of the best literature of historic Christianity had been allowed to fall into oblivion and that its recovery under God could well lead not only to a strengthening of the Church today but to true revival. The origins of the work were closely connected with the prayer that God would be pleased to visit the land again in true awakening.
It was believed that former literature - particularly of the Reformation and Puritan eras - had become buried for two reasons. Firstly that the emphasis of that literature was not congenial to much that passed for biblical Christianity in the present century. Secondly that religious publishing had become far too market oriented, that is to say, a primary question with publishers was that a title was saleable and to what degree it could be expected to be popular.
The Banner of Truth Trust by its very name, Trust, was organised so that, it was hoped, financial considerations would not determine the publications programme. It was aimed to publish what we believed honoured God and what people needed rather than what they might initially want.
In its development the Banner of Truth Trust has always been inter-denominational in the composition of its staff. While adhering to the authority of the Westminster Confession, it has sought to distinguish between major and fundamental truths and such truths (relating to church polity, etc) which may be regarded as secondary though not unimportant.
Since its inception the Banner of Truth has also sought to balance its publishing programme with the writings of a number of contemporary authors, among the best known William Hendriksen and D M Lloyd-Jones. It also seeks to balance its publishing programme by maintaining in its list different forms of literature - commentaries, biographies, missionary titles, sermons, etc.
The main office for the Banner of Truth work is now in Edinburgh, Scotland, with an important branch office and distribution point in Carlisle, Pennsylvania.     - Iain H. Murray

Christian Counseling and Education Foundation

http://ccef.org/home.htm

Our faculty subscribe to either the Westminster Confession of Faith or the Philadelphia Confession of Faith. Both documents codify the historic Christian faith as defined by the Scripture. In addition, all of our faculty adhere to the following summary doctrinal statement.

The biblical counselor, by definition, is committed to the Old and New Testaments as the only authoritative rule of faith and practice. Both the faith and conduct of the biblical counselor, as well as his counseling theory and practice, are formed by the standard to Scripture.

Eerdmans Publishing Co.

http://www.eerdmans.com/

From ten cent specials for Dutch farmers in 1910 to over 1000 titles in print currently, the William B. Eerdmans Publishing Company of Grand Rapids, Michigan, has firmly held to the motto established by its founder William B. Eerdmans, Sr.: "The finest in religious literature."

The son of a Dutch textile manufacturer, Eerdmans immigrated to Grand Rapids from the Netherlands in 1902, and began peddling books to support himself while attending Calvin Theological Seminary.  In 1911 Eerdmans quit the seminary, convinced that he would be "a misfit in the ministry," and on August 16, 1911, he and Brant Sevensma formed the Eerdmans-Sevensma Company, a dealership specializing in theological textbooks.

By 1915 Eerdmans was sole owner of the company, then renamed the William B. Eerdmans Publishing Company. Many of Eerdmans earliest books were classic theological works by European scholars, and the initial volumes were printed in the Dutch language.

Evangelical Press, United Kingdom

http://www.evangelicalpress.org/

For over thirty-five years, Evangelical Press has been actively publishing for the ‘Christian pew’, taking the great truths of Christianity and presenting them in a modern and contemporary form. We are a distinctively reformed publishing house, promoting the doctrines of grace.

In the past year, we have significantly increased the number of titles that we publish. We are an international publishing house, selling books to every English-speaking country. We have offices in England, the USA, France, Belarus, the Ivory Coast and Benin. We sell books in four main languages (English, French, Russian and Spanish) to some eighty countries. The work of Evangelical Press has a distinctly missionary flavour, with profits from our English-language publications being used to support the spread of the gospel in other languages. We operate in accordance with the biblical principle that the ‘abundance’ in one area might be used to ‘supply the lack’ in others (2 Cor. 8:14).

Indelible Grace Music

http://www.igracemusic.com/

Indelible Grace Music grew out of ministering to college students, primarily through Reformed University Fellowship (RUF). We saw many touched by the gospel, and gripped by the rich theology and great poetry of the hymns of the Church. As these students began to taste more of the depth of the gospel and the richness of the hymn tradition, many began to join the music of their culture with the words of our forefathers (and mothers!), and a movement was born.

Kairos Journal

http://www.kairosjournal.org

"The Christian herald stands between two worlds, believing and speaking God’s Word from one world to the other world in rebellion against that same Word. The Christian preacher must then know both worlds. But historically, apologists have known one better than the other, and preachers have rarely fully connected the one to another. Wouldn’t it be great if there were a tool to help the faithful expository preacher engage the culture without compromising the Word of God or missing the mark because of inadequate analysis? Yes it would, and here it is—The Kairos Journal. "

Man In The Mirror

http://www.maninthemirror.org/welcome.htm

This website states its mission: “Our vision is to engage every man in America with a credible offer of Christ and with resources to grow. We work toward this end by serving pastors and leaders who share our passion to reach men”.  Mr. Morley’s background is not theological; his story is one of a man who was quite successful in business, but was searching for meaning and purpose in life.   In 1989 he wrote The Man in the Mirror, a landmark book that shared his search for meaning, purpose, and a deeper relationship with God. This best-selling book captured the imaginations of hundreds of thousands of men worldwide. As a result, in 1991, Patrick Morley sold his business and founded Man in the Mirror, a ministry to men. Through his speaking and writing, he has become a tireless advocate for men, encouraging and inspiring them to change their lives in Christ.  This organization seeks to work with churches to encourage ministries for men.  The website offers extensive resources and downloads.

Metokos Ministries

http://www.metokos.org/faq.html

Publications to help small churches.

The name is based on a NT Greek word that appears only once – in Luke 5:7. While normally translated ‘partner’ it is not the regular Greek word for partner in the New Testament. Rather it is a word used to describe the special relationship between the sets of brothers among Jesus’ disciples who owned fishing boats. Simon (Peter) and Andrew owned one boat; James and John owned another. They were independent in their business – but worked together in a ‘metokos’ relationship to accomplish their purpose. Metokos Ministries is not a ‘consulting’ or even a ‘partnering’ relationship, but rather one disciple of Jesus seeking to help others accomplish their purpose in the church.

To encourage the church to always be reforming its thoughts in order to be more God-honoring & consistent with the Word of God.  To teach the whole counsel of God and not just aspects we feel comfortable with, that the Gospel would affect and transform all areas of our life. To stress important doctrines that have been lost or set aside in the belief that it will help us in one of the most urgent tasks facing evangelicals today - the recovery of the gospel.  The Site is maintained by John W. Hendryx, who attends a PCA Church in Portland, Oregon.

Multnomah Publishers

http://www.multnomahbooks.com/

Multnomah is a Christian publishing house that produces over 70 new releases a year and carries more than 300 timeless classics. We present spiritual themes in diverse formats ranging from current issues and Christian living to adult fiction. In May 1987, Donald C. Jacobson founded Questar Publishers in Phoenix, Arizona. His vision was to establish a new, bold company that would clearly communicate the Word of God to His people and His church. A strategic move for the company was the 1992 purchase of Multnomah Press from Multnomah Bible College and Bible Seminary in Portland, Oregon. Jacobson has a rich history with both the college and the company. He received a bachelor’s degree in religion education from the college and later worked as marketing director at Multnomah Press. In the acquisition, many Multnomah Press staff members joined the new company and relocated from Portland to Sisters.  The Multnomah name, long associated with high Christian standards, was a deciding factor in the company’s decision to officially change its name on July 1, 1997 from Questar to Multnomah Publishers.
